Pens - Biodegradable Cornstarch

Biodegradable Cornstarch Pens for Australian Organisations

Biodegradable cornstarch pens swap the fossil-fuel plastic body of a standard pen for a body made from cornstarch, a renewable plant-based material. For schools, offices, councils, and community groups that get through pens by the box, they are a simple way to cut plastic waste while keeping a pen that writes and feels like any other. Buyecogreen supplies them in bulk with reliable repeat stock for institutional ordering.

Because the barrel is plant based rather than petroleum based, it breaks down far more readily at the end of its life than conventional plastic. The range is a click pen in several colours, which makes it easy to colour-code by team, classroom, or event while keeping the whole order plastic-free. That gives procurement and sustainability teams a clear, reportable point for green purchasing records.

Cornstarch pens also work well as event and conference giveaways and as branded promotional items that carry a sustainability message. They sit within the wider eco pens range, so you can order alongside eco pencils, pen and pencil sets, or eco-friendly markers to complete a classroom or workplace order.

What are cornstarch pens made from?

Are they suitable for bulk orders by schools and offices?

What other eco pen materials does Buyecogreen offer?

Alongside cornstarch, the eco pens range includes recycled paper, recycled plastic, sustainable bamboo, and FSC-certified wood options to match the pen to the purpose.
