Kraft tape

Kraft Paper Packing Tape

Kraft paper tape is a plastic-free way to seal cartons and parcels. Because it is paper based, it goes into the recycling stream with the carton rather than having to be peeled off first, which makes it a practical choice for schools, offices, councils, warehouses, and eco retailers working to reduce packaging waste. Buyecogreen supplies kraft tape in bulk for institutional use, with reliable repeat stock.

Each roll uses a pH neutral adhesive on flatback brown kraft, holds a strong seal on cartons and boxes, and hand-tears for quick use on a packing bench. Unlike plastic film, it suits organisations that want their packaging to recycle cleanly from start to finish and to reflect a genuine sustainability commitment in everyday shipping.

Sizes and Options

Kraft paper tape comes in a 48mm x 50m width for general carton sealing and a narrower 25mm x 50m width for lighter work. For goods that need careful handling, the Fragile printed kraft tape is FSC certified, printed with a red Fragile message, and made from a strong 110 micron paper suited to both manual and automated application.

Custom printing is available on kraft tape for organisations that want branded or messaged rolls, with a minimum quantity of 36 rolls. It is a straightforward way for councils, schools, and businesses to carry their identity through to the parcel while keeping the seal plastic-free.

Part of a Full Packaging Range

Kraft tape sits within the wider packing tape range, which also includes recycled plastic and compostable options such as the AS 4736 certified compostable natural rubber tape. You can order alongside recycled paper bags and padded bags and mailers, or review the wider wholesale eco-friendly packaging options for high-volume supply.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is kraft paper tape recyclable?

Yes. Because it is paper based with a pH neutral adhesive, kraft tape can go into the recycling stream with the cardboard carton, rather than being separated first like plastic tape.

Is kraft tape strong enough for carton sealing?

It is. Kraft paper tape holds a strong seal on cartons and boxes and hand-tears cleanly. The Fragile printed version uses a strong 110 micron paper for goods that need extra care.

What widths does kraft paper tape come in?

It comes in 48mm for general carton sealing and 25mm for lighter work, both on 50m rolls. A Fragile printed 48mm option is also available for careful handling.

Can we get custom printed kraft tape?
