Box of 100 Chalk for blackboards etc in assorted colours. Non-toxic and dustless. 100 pieces. Size 80mm L x 11 mm diameter. Roughly even numbers of blue, pink, yellow, orange and green chalk.
Chalk is made from Calcium Carbonate which occurs naturally in Limestone. The Limestone is quarried, crushed, and ground to fine particles. Dry natural colour pigments are added, and then mixed with water to form a slurry. This is then formed into long thin rolls or sticks, baked slowly in an oven, cooled, cut to size and boxed.
‘Old fashioned’ perhaps, but Chalk is still an environmentally preferable option for writing on boards.
