We use environmentally responsible packaging as much as possible. This includes recycled paper packs and tubes, reused and recycled cardboard boxes, reused newsprint and cardboard padding, shredded paper, biodegradable cellophane bags, and recycled brown kraft wrapping paper.
We also reuse packaging materials that are sent to us - so sometimes you may find eg bubble wrap, plastic wrap or other materials in our cartons. We hope that you give these materials a longer life by reusing them in turn, and recycling what you can't reuse.

The postage or freight charge depends on the weight of the order and your location. You can see what the postage will be online by selecting the products you want and then going to the Shopping Cart page. Below the shopping cart, there's a field that says 'Estimate Shipping' - just put in your postcode and it will then show you options & costs for sending by Aust Post, Express Post, Registered Post, and Courier.
Our aim is to provide delivery services to customers wherever they are in Australia and New Zealand. And that’s quite an issue, because Australia is a BIG country and freight rates are relatively high.
For this reason in Australia we mainly use Australia Post, as really the only organisation which can properly serve many regional and remote rural locations. In doing so we use an Australia Post freight calculator for the most accurate costing estimates of the charges according to product weight and destination. The final weight of the order will also include packaging, so the rates used are based on the most recent Australia Post rates with this factor also taken into account.
While we can't viably offer free delivery due to the sheer weight of many office products and the relatively very low margins on most items, especially copy paper, we nevertheless want to reward you for placing larger or bulk orders: that's why orders over $150 net receive 10% DISCOUNT.
Metro Orders are delivered by Courier eg Fastway Couriers, TNT Road & Express, where deliveries can be signed for at the delivery address on the day, or by Australia Post otherwise.
You will see the weight of the items in your shopping cart displayed at the top of the cart. For orders under 20kg in weight, you can then choose from the options of Courier/Freight company delivery (Called Zone Shipping) or Australia Post: Standard or Express shipping. If your order exceeds 20kg, then only Zone Shipping may be available. (Sometimes your order may still ship by Aust Post if your location is outside a Zone Shipping area.)
For New Zealand customers we primarily use Fastway International with Tracking. Transit time is approx 4-6 days.
EXPRESS POST SATCHELS
We generally don't use the plastic prepaid satchels from Australia Post or elsewhere as they are a non-recycled plastic item (they could be made from recycled plastic by the way) and thus unsustainable. But we acknowledge the feedback of customers from more remote areas who would have to pay excessive postage unless they can use the satchel option. For this reason we are introducing an additional Post Option: Express Post Satchels. Please put these in a soft plastic recycling bin if they are available in your area, eg in Coles stores, so that they are at least recycled into something else after their initial use.
How quickly is your order processed? In most cases orders placed online before 1pm leave the same day; orders after 1pm generally leave the next day. We hold good levels of stock for most items, but occasionally there might be a delay or a split delivery if we're short or if a restock is delayed. In peak ordering times such as before Christmas, orders may be slightly slower in being processed - we appreciate your patience:)

For those in inner Sydney suburbs, a pick-up of orders can be arranged from our warehouse in St Peters. Please select this option if you can and want to collect your order from our warehouse. We will notify you when the order is ready for collection.
Due to the very high cost of shipping overseas from Australia, we currently offer limited shipping to other countries. Apart from New Zealand, you would need to contact us for a quote.

Take Special Note: Couriers do NOT deliver to PO Boxes, nor do they leave orders at Post Offices.
Note: these estimated times are taken from the published delivery service times of the Freight providers. They are estimates only and delivery can take longer or shorter depending on the circumstances of the time and the provider.
Orders are sent by Australia Post parcel service or by standard road Courier, ensuring that your order can be traced. We generally send a Shipping Notice email with the Tracking Number for your order. If no-one is at home when Australia Post or the courier delivers, you should receive a 'calling card' explaining where to collect the parcel from the Post Office (or for Couriers, how to arrange re-delivery).
If no-one will be at home during the day, you might consider having the order shipped to a work address.
All Road Courier orders require your signature on delivery unless you notify us of an 'Authority to Leave' and leave special delivery instructions in the Comments Box during Checkout for the order to be left in a safe location should you not be at home. Please note, however, that by doing so you take responsibility should the order go missing after it is delivered.
Good News: You can continue to place orders over the Christmas - New Year holiday period.
But our hard-working warehouse and admin team need a break! So orders placed in the period after 1pm on Thursday 21 Dec to Jan 2 will be held for packing and dispatch on Wed 3 Jan, and any orders we can't get out that day, and orders placed after this will be processed and packed in the week starting Monday 8 Jan 2018. Normal warehouse operations recommence from Mon 8 Jan.
